International Men’s Day

It’s International Men’s Day today, an annual celebration of the achievements and contributions of men. It falls in the same month as Movember, which raises awareness of men’s health issues like prostate cancer, mental health, and male suicide.

I know so many amazing men and at one point or the other especially this year, many have struggled with their mental health and haven’t always been comfortable in reaching out for help at the right time.

Alarming research suggests, 75% of the suicides in 2019 being male, 40% of men won’t talk to anyone about their mental health and 2 in 3 men have felt overwhelmed, stressed and unable to cope over the past year.

In this months, Niche Magazine I’ve written a special feature, specifically on this important topic to raise awareness and to encourage men to reach out if they need some help. 🤍
